The Gateway CLassic is a Symetra Tour event (LPGA version of the Web.com Tour) that is played at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa Arizona.
I arrived a the event around 11am and watched a bunch of the ladies warm up on the range for about an hour, then I followed a couple of groups play the front 9. The ladies that I followed where Vicky Hurst, Cara Freeman, and Chirapat Jao-Javanil, as well as Lisa Meldrum, Jayde Panos, and Carleigh Silvers.

So what was my impression? These girls are good... REALLY GOOD. They hit nearly every fairway, and in the case of Vicky Hurst and Jayde Panos they bomb it!. I also noticed a very large number of the girls are using Aimpoint Express to read the greens, and they use it very quickly and very well!
If you happen to be in the area of an event and have a chance to go, you really should go and watch. The girls are all very friendly and you can get very close to action. From what I say today I wouldnt be suprised if there is a player or two that will end up being Solheim Cup players or major champions.
